দুই রাত দুই দিন হোটেলে কাটিয়ে আমাদের বিরক্তিকর লাগে । আমরা সবাই মিলে ঘটে যাওয়া ঘটনা নিয়ে অনুভব করি । যেখানে আমাদের কাজ করতে নিয়ে যাওয়ার কথা সেখানে যাওয়ার জন্য যে টাকার প্রয়োজন তা ঠিকাদারের কাছে ছিল না । কোম্পানির মালিক টাকা পাঠাতে দেরি করছিলেন । ১৫ জনের থাকা ও খাওয়া নিয়ে নেপালের টাকায় ১৮০০০ টাকা হোটেল বিল উঠেছিল । তারপর আমরা পরিকল্পনা করি যে - আজকেই যখন এত টাকার সমস্যা, তবে ঠিক মতো বেতন দিতে পারবে কিনা সন্দেহ হচ্ছিল । তাই আমরা ঠিকাদারকে ফাকি দিয়ে হরিয়ানা যাব কাজ করতে । পরিকল্পনা মাফিক আমরা ৭ জনের মধ্যে ৫ জন যথাক্রমে- আমি, দিপক, বাবলু, সুমীন (ভীম) ও জীবন রায় পালিয়ে যেতে সক্ষম হই । কিন্তু দুই জন যথাক্রমে- বিষ্ণু ও গৌরাঙ্গ পালাতে গিয়ে ধরা পড়ে গিয়েছিল । অনেক সময় ধরে অপেক্ষা করছিলাম ওদের জন্য । কিন্তু কোনও সাড়া মেলেনি ঐ দুই জনের । কিছুক্ষন পর বাবলুর মোবাইল এ একটি কল আসে । কল রিসিভ করতেই অপর প্রান্ত থেকে বলছে - তোমরা কোথায় আছো ? তাড়াতাড়ি চলে আসো । তোমাদের দুই জন ছেলের মধ্যে এক জন কান্না করছে । কান্নায় আমরা সবাই বিষ্ণুর গলার আওয়াজ শুনতে পাই । তারপর আবার আমাদেরকে ফিরে আসতে হয় । ফিরে এসে দেখি হোটেলে কেউ নেই । হোটেল মালিকের কাছে জানতে পারি ওরা সবাই গাড়ি চেপে বিত্তা মোড়ে পৌঁছে গিয়েছে । আমরাও ৫ জনই অটো গাড়িতে চেপে বিত্তা মোড়ে পৌঁছে দেখি সবাই আমাদের জন্য অপেক্ষা করে আছে । তারপর বাসের টিকিট কেটে নিলাম নেপালের রাজধানী শহর কাঠমুন্ডু যাওয়ার জন্য । পাহাড়ি রাস্তায় গাড়ি চলাচল করতে দেখে আমি অবাক হয়ে যাই । দৃশ্যগুলিও দেখতে খুব সুন্দর লাগছিল । পরের দিন সকালে আমরা কাঠমুন্ডু পৌঁছাই । একটি চায়ের দোকানে বসে চা-বিস্কুট খেলাম । এরপর কাঠমুন্ডু থেকে বাস ধরে থোসে বাজার নামক জায়গায় পৌঁছাই রাত আট- টা নাগাদ । আমি মাস খানেক ধরে কাজ করে বাড়ি ফিরে আসি । টাকা উপার্জন করতে গিয়ে বিফল হয়ে ফিরে আসি । কারণ ঐ সময় বাড়িতে কলকাতা পুলিশের শারীরিক পরীক্ষার জন্য এডমিট কার্ড পৌছায় । কিন্তু আমার ভাগ্য খারাপ, আমি সঠিক সময়ে বাড়ি ফিরতে পারিনি এবং আমার এডমিট কার্ডও সঠিক সময়ে পোস্ট করা হয়নি৷ অন্যদিকে পড়াশোনাও ডুবে যায় .................??????? পরের এপিসোড এ চোখ রাখুন।
